Dynamic Downtown Worship in the Anglican Tradition

Living Like We’re Leavin’

What a Sunday!  We not only enter our new Covid-era worship schedule, we also celebrate Michaelmas!  Michaelmas (also known as the Feast of Saint Michael and All Angels) is the Biblical festival (Revelation 12) of our namesake.  Michaelmas celebrates Archangel Michael’s victory over Satan.  Revelation 12 ends with those chilling words:  “Satan is filled with fury because he knows his time is short.”  In other words, Satan is living like he’s leaving…he knows he loses in the end and so his fury is hot!  In the same way on this Michaelmas, are we truly living like we’re leaving?  We know this earthly home is short lived, are we living a life of forgiveness and reconciliation?  Are we living to help others live in eternity?  Are we living truly caring for each other?

What are we putting off?   Today:  Living like we’re leaving…stay tuned…
