Ascension Authority

Let’s look back Together through the Ascension!

The “ascent” of Jesus Christ into heaven came on the 40th day after his Resurrection. It marks the moment when Jesus left the physical presence of the disciples, to sit at God’s right hand, signifying His authority as God and Coronation as King.  However, before Jesus ascended, he charged the disciples to “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation.”  Jesus also said “the one who believes and is baptized will be saved; but the one who does not believe will be condemned.”  That charge to the disciples is our charge today.  Today, let’s stop and review, where have we gone into the world to proclaim?  Let’s celebrate what God is doing among us as we recount stories today of changed lives among us!
