Are you a young adult who has embarked on their career and who wants to grow as a disciple and leader. Do you want to learn how to integrate your faith and vocation? Holy City Fellows is a nine-month (September-May) Christian leadership program for women and men in their 20’s who want to bring their faith to bear in every dimension of their lives – relationships, family, church, work, and culture. This will occur alongside your full time employment.
This program raises up gospel-shaped leaders through four key components: Learning, Service, Retreats, and Mentorship. HCF involves the systematic study of Holy Scripture, lectures, reading Christian authors on what it means to be a disciple of Christ in Church, Vocation, Relationships and the challenges of our present day Culture. Fellows study on their own but meet together weekly for a Roundtable which includes a talk to tie the week’s study together, participation in small group discussion on material studied, and its application in our lives.

A word from the Director of Holy City Fellows:
“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”” (Isaiah 30:21)
When I was in my twenties, the world was filled with exciting possibilities. William Shakespeare captured the sentiment well in a phrase he coined: “Why then the world’s mine oyster which I with sword will open.” I had the “sword” of my education, my gifts and talents, and my faith in Jesus Christ; I was eager to venture out into the world and make an impact. What better place to start than Washington, D.C.?!
I started my working life in politics. But as my twenties progressed, I was seeking answers to several important questions: How is God calling me? Is my calling the same as my career? How do I live out my faith in the world and in the workplace? Now that college is over, where is my community? Is marriage and family in my future? How does my past inform my future? I needed a seasoned guide. Someone who had trod this path and could walk with me as I explored the pressing questions on my heart. Someone who could help me hear the voice of the Holy Spirit saying: “this is the way, walk in it.”
Holy City Fellows is a nine-month discipleship opportunity that comes alongside young professionals who seek to follow Christ faithfully and respond to the leading of his Spirit in their lives. Fellows are matched with a seasoned mentor who will walk with them as they ask important life questions and explore possibilities. They also benefit from community with others in their season of life who are asking similar questions. After finishing Holy City Fellows, a graduate might not have all the answers they seek. But they will know the assurance of a God who longs to be gracious to them (Isa. 30) and will walk with them in every season of life.
