Dynamic Downtown Worship in the Anglican Tradition

What Does the Personnel Committee Do?

I have received that question over and over again thought, therefore, it would be a good idea to explain its purpose. Everything we do in ministry comes from the power of the Holy Spirit and your resources through the tithe. Therefore we want to make sure that we have the right folks in the right places on our staff team. Last year, then Sr. Warden Frank Grimball and I formed the personnel committee to make sure that best Biblical practices were followed. The Personnel Committee serves under the leadership of the rector to be an advisory group for the rector and vestry in best personnel practices in all aspects of personnel. This means helping to maintain the staff handbook, as well as recruitment of staff. Because we are a living organism they also help assess our leadership structure to help make sure we are structured for blessing. They also assist in making sure we are consistent in our hiring process.  Members of this committee include:

  • Senior Warden:  Mikell Scarborough
  • Junior Warden:  Heidi Ravenel
  • Vestry Member:  Hal Frampton
  • Solicitor:  Wade Logan
  • Lay Members:  Frank Grimball, Robby Marion
