Consecrated Bread – We Are Doing It Again!

The distribution of consecrated communion wafers for May 24 was so well received that we are doing it again for May 31!

We will be having Spiritual Communion once again on Sunday, May 31. You can join in with consecrated bread! Come by the church portico and pick up wafers for you and your family. They will be individually packaged.

Thursday, May 28, 1:00 – 4:00 pm

Friday, May 29, 9:00 am – 12:00 noon

So, how does this work?

  1. Just drive up to the portico.
  2. One of your clergy will be there with a basket of individually-wrapped consecrated wafers.* The priest will be wearing a mask and gloves.
  3. Indicate how many wafers you need for your family.
  4. The priest will hand you the wafers. Please do not get them from the basket yourself. We want to minimize how many people handle the packets.
  5. As you watch the service video on Sunday, you will see the priest bless the bread. At the indicated time in the service, open your packet and consume the consecrated bread.

This will be a communion of one kind (bread only). No wine will be provided.

*Those who prepared the packets wore a mask and gloves as well.
