The Good Shepherd in the Valley of the Shadow

Images of the carnage in El Paso Texas, Dayton Ohio, Mother Emanuel…The dark violence seems never ending.  When David wrote Psalm 23, he had his own images of pain and darkness, which is why he writes: “Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.”  How can David say that and how can we live that today? It’s because we’re not alone in the shadows. Stay tuned.
