Surprised by Joy

How could a crusty English bachelor professor — known for his strident atheism and dry wit — end up entitling his autobiography “Surprised by Joy”? Incongruous at the
very least. Right? But C. S. Lewis not only celebrated
the joy of the Lord, he incorporated it into many of his
writings. So, what does “joy” mean to us, especially when we are busy with the things of this world, or unsure about which kind of latte to order at Starbucks? And how do I get joy? Can I find something in Jesus’ life and teaching that offers me a clue? Let’s unpack this elusive quality that many of us would like to have, but don’t know where to look?
