Dynamic Downtown Worship in the Anglican Tradition

Prayers on Sunday

Prayers on Sunday

During and after services on Sunday, teams of trained and experienced Prayer Ministers are available in designated pews to offer prayers of intercession for healing or any other need.

Prayer Cards

Green prayer cards are available for you to share whatever prayer concerns may be on your heart. These can be placed in the offering, placed into a prayer box found in the church, or sent to the church office. They will be read by the clergy and prayer ministers so that the shared concerns can be prayed over.

Prayers of the People

Sunday prayers during worship include intercessions for the healing of the sick, remembrance of the dead, and thanksgivings for births and marriages. Those desiring to have names included in these publicly read prayers should contact the Pastoral Care office. All requests require permission of the individual to be prayed for or the person’s family.

Furnace Room of Prayer

The Furnace Room of Prayer is a gathering of lay people and clergy who meet at 9:15 every Sunday morning in the lower level of the bell tower (Temporarily in the Willis Room of the Laura Hewitt Building on Broad Street) to pray for our worship, parishioners, guests, volunteers, and ministers. No special training is required. If you have a heart to pray that God would be glorified on Sunday mornings and are interested in joining this group, please call 723-0603 and/or simply join them at 9:15.
