It was a good way to learn about Honduras and how life works down there. We got to see what they ate, where they lived, and how dangerous their lives were. We had an opportunity to help them with our own work rather than sending them money. It opened up my eyes to what life was like in a dangerous third-world country, and how different the USA is. I’m a lot more thankful for all that I have and how easy my life is compared to so many others’. Seeing so many people with so little lead such joyful and thankful lives made me realize how ungrateful I am for so much. I want to start appreciating life more now and take advantage of all the opportunities that I’ve been given.
