GIC Opportunity to Meet Joe Stringer
About Joe Stringer
Joseph Stringer is a Christian author and the Charleston Director for the South Carolina Christian Chamber of Commerce. The vision of the SC Christian Chamber is “To unify Christians in South Carolina by engaging Commerce and Community to positively impact our culture for Christ through a Biblical worldview.” This vision aligns perfectly with Stringer’s goal to impact culture and community for Christ through his writing.
Stringer’s most recent book, The Ten Commandments for Business, witnesses how we are to apply the Ten Commandments in our business lives to transform our companies from “bottom line profit” to “top down mission.” Stringer is currently working on Call Me Jonah, the story of how, just like Jonah did, Joe, and our nation have run from God’s calling—and how God is calling us back to a faithful walk.
In addition to the above, Stringer has published two Christian fantasy novels, The Gem Testament and The Chosen and an illustrated book for children, The U-Pick Farm.
Joe recently retired from full time work in his career as an Independent Insurance Agent and Risk Manager with Anderson Insurance Associates of Charleston in order to work on his passion for business ministry. He still does some work in Risk Management for a few clients.
Joe also gives back to the business community as the coordinator for the Charleston County Emergency Operations Center business continuity hotline. During events, such as the October 2015 and 2016 floods, the business hotline helps to coordinate needs and resources for those businesses impacted by the disaster.
