J-Life Burundi News

J-Life Burundi exists to mobilize a movement of disciple makers in the local church in Burundi.

We highly value your continuous prayers as well as your financial support without which we can not do what we are doing, thank you for partnering with us in what the Lord is doing in Burundi. Please know that we regularly also pray for you. Please find below stories of what the Lord is doing.

In this picture, Bosco is training Church leaders in Cibitoke (west of Burundi)  in Discipleship. One thing I love as a J-Life materials trainer is to hear how trainees are applying the training both in their personal and ministry life. One pastor was sharing that since he came to the training he understood that he needs to do ministry the way Jesus did it. He is discipling and equipping young people for ministry. He is intentionally spending more time with few young people the way Jesus did it with his disciples. He says that he is now a better minister than he used to be. He said that he wish he would have gotten the training a few years back.

How would a youngster feel if he drops out of school just because he does not have school materials and school fees? I try to put myself in their shoes as I minister alongside with other J-Life Burundi team members to orphans in Bubanza, Ciya village. Here pictured from left to right Diomede, Manasseh, Fabrice, Floribert and Aline who had dropped out of School just because they lacked school fees and school materials. Praise be to God that after we knew their case we managed to provide them with that and now they have a place among other of their generation with the right to education.

Getting mobilized for a noble work!! Big thank you to Simon Guillebaud from Burundi, and Brian and Owen Kleager all the way from Germany to come and join J-Life Burundi team in putting a roof over a widow’s head. Among the widows that we are discipling¬†are those who have to rent a house with money that they don’t have. One widow who left Burundi and fled to Republic Democratic of Congo (DRC) upon her return, she and her son and daughter could not find a place to stay. With no other option, she rented but was struggling to feed her 2 children and find money for rent. With $300, the cost of the house, she has now thanked the Lord for having used us to bless her. Thank you Lord.
