Hot Dog Ministry

Hot Dog NEW-1

MISSION FOCUS

The Hot Dog Ministry began in 2008 with a group of college students from East Cooper Baptist Church to show God’s love for those who come for supper. In 2019, St. Michael’s Mission Task Force began serving in this ministry to the homeless and urban population of downtown Charleston comprising of men, women, and children.

We meet every other month (rain or shine) in the parking lot of Citadel Square Baptist Church off Calhoun Street.

Adults (and children who are old enough to help) are encouraged to come and volunteer with us.

The dates will be announced. We meet at 4:30 pm. The next scheduled date is Tuesday, May 30.

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’                Matthew 25:35-40
