Dynamic Downtown Worship in the Anglican Tradition

Jubilee Sunday & Vestry Open House & Lunch

Our God is the God of new beginnings.

From the moment Jesus Christ stepped out of that empty tomb on Easter Sunday, Christians have believed that all things really are possible with God, and that He delights to surprise us and do more than we can ask or imagine.

On August 27th, we will celebrate St. Michael’s third Jubilee Sunday! In the midst of a typical Morning Prayer service we intentionally set aside about 15 minutes of open time simply to create space for God’s people to be renewed in God’s presence. It is a time to be still in one’s pew and know that He is God. It is a time to worship Him with the quiet, reflective music. And it is also a time to receive prayer ministry from St. Michael’s prayer ministers stationed throughout the sanctuary.

All-in-all it will be a moving and memorable day of being renewed and refilled by the grace of God. And in light of many positive testimonies from the past, Jubilee Sunday has become a new St. Michael’s tradition.

All praise to the God of new beginnings!

Following the 10:30 am service, the Vestry of St. Michael’s Church will be holding an open house and lunch. This is an opportunity to meet the new vestry and staff, ask questions, and find out what’s happening this Fall. Lunch will be provided for all.
