Dynamic Downtown Worship in the Anglican Tradition

Closures due to Hurricane Florence

As you most likely know, Governor McMaster has issued a mandatory evacuation for Charleston County, due to the size and strength of Hurricane Florence. As a result, St. Michael’s Church will close after the end of business on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 and remain closed for the rest of the week. We plan to be open for all services and Sunday School this Sunday, September 16.
This closure specifically effects:
  • All Super Wednesday activities, including Theology Over Coffee, Children’s Choir, Middle School Youth, Praise & Worship Service, Church Family Supper, Alpha, School of Healing Prayer, Parenting Class with Peter Rothermel, Young Adults Ministry, High School Youth, and Choir, have been cancelled.
  • The Women’s Ministry event with Dr. Barbara Boatwright on Thursday, September 13 has been cancelled.
If you plan to evacuate, please drive safely, and let someone know where you will be. If you plan to stay, please take all precautions to safeguard you and your property.
You can find hurricane preparedness information here: Hurricane Preparation
Charleston County has shelters available for those who may need them. You can find that information here: Charleston County Shelters

Thank you for your understanding regarding these cancellations.  The staff of St. Michael’s is praying for you and your family’s safety during this time of inclement weather.
We plan to resume normal office hours on Monday, September 17.
